We are proud to officially welcome Justin Popp to the K2 team after a brief internship! Justin graduates this week from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology with an Associates Degree in Electromechanical Technology. While in school, he was active with student government and was a peer tutor for his program.
Justin's work history has been an interesting journey, as he has gone through several "pivot's". Prior to going back to school, he worked for R.E. Ebersole (rendering plant) in Bainbridge, where he was a commercial truck driver and performed industrial maintenance. He then made the choice to go back to school and accepted internships as an Electromechanical Technician at JL Clark in Lancaster and as an Engineering Technician for RG Group here in York. He has also worked part time at Bicycle Outfitters in Elizabethtown as a mechanic since he was a teenager.
As a Mechanical & Electrical Assembler here at K2, his main role is wiring and installation of the electrical components on our machines. He also will perform mechanical fabrication and installation.
Justin and his wife Amy will celebrate their 10 year wedding anniversary this Fall. They live in Marietta and do not have children. In his free time, Justin enjoys mountain biking and a love of hiking and camping with his wife and their dog Emmylou.
Please join us in welcoming Justin!
